Following the dissapearance of one of their friends, Shannon, Ashley, Kenny, Stan and Josh decide to investigate their high school. This brave step will lead them into a hell they will never forget. But, no matter what happens, they must stick together if they want to throw light on the dark and sordid history of their school. ObsCure offers a co-operative mode which lets two people play simultaneously. In "solo" mode your team-mate is partly controlled by the AI. But you can manage your team-mate's actions: thus he can follow you, stay put or help you during a fight on to look for a clue. In co-operative mode, a second player takes control of the second student. Whether alone or in a pair, during the adventure you can take the shape of any of the five heroes and be accompanied by a team-mate occupying one of the remaining characters roles When the character dies, you take control of his team-mate. If he did not have a team-mate, a new active character is chosen at random amongst those remaining and you can continue the game from the nearest assembly point. The role of light in the ObsCure gameplay: The school is crawling with all kinds of more or less robust characters, which the heroes must confront to progress in the adventure. To do this, they must use the different weapons and ammunitions that they find along the way. The majority of the creatures are surrounded by a "black aura" which protects them. The students can use the light sources to help them to defeat the creatures quicker. Careful: some creatures can appear invincible, but they all have weaknesses. For some, you must find the sensitive point, for others you must wait for them to lower their guard before striking or shooting. |
